Safe Am I ... In the Arms of Jesus!

(In no order of importance, just alphabetical order)

A daughter is a daughter all of her life.
But a son is a son until he takes a wife.

A hug is a great gift - one size fits all.
It can be given for any occasion
and it's easy to exchange.

A man can have the best intentions to meet
his wife's needs, but if he thinks her needs
are similar to his own, he will fail miserably.

A Mother is the one who can take the place of
all others, but whose place no one else can take.

A "perfect marriage" is just two imperfect
people who refuse to give up on each other.

A person's actions will tell you
everything you need to know!

A real man never hurts a woman.  Be very careful if you make
a woman cry because God counts her tears.  God created woman
from man's rib, not from his feet to be walked on, not from his
head to be superior, but from his side to be equal, under his
arm to be protected, and next to his heart to be loved.

A smile doesn't always just mean that a person is happy;
It can also mean that the person is strong enough in the Lord
to face with confidence whatever problems come their way.

A "strong woman" believes she is strong enough to
face her journey - but a "woman of faith" knows that
it is in her journey that she will become strong.

A true friend is one who strengthens you with prayers,
blesses you with love and encourages you with hope.

A well trained memory is one that lets you forget
everything that isn't worth remembering!

A woman's heart should be so caught-up in God, that
a man would have to seek HIM, in order to find her.

A year from now - we will wish we had started today!

All too few children can say -
"There's No Place Like Home."

Always remember to forget the troubles that pass your way;
but never forget the blessings that come each and every day!

Apologizing does not mean you were wrong and
the other person was right.  It just means you
value your relationship more than your ego.

Being happy doesn't mean we have it all.  It
means being thankful to the Lord for all we have.

Being a male is a matter of birth.
Being a man is a matter of age.
Being a gentleman is a matter of choice.

Be not deceived:
Evil communications corrupt good manners.
(1 Corinthians 15:33)

Be strong enough to stand alone.  Be yourself
enough to stand apart.  But be wise enough
to stand together when the time comes.

Beware of half-truths because you
just might get hold of the wrong half!

Be ye fishers of men!
You catch them and He'll clean them!

Bibles aren't allowed in schools, but are encouraged
in the prisons.  So remember, it's not God who allows
violence in the schools - He's not even allowed there!

By the time a woman realizes her Mother was right,
she has a daughter who thinks she's wrong!

Character is how we treat those
who can do nothing for us.

Compassion is the heart of
knowing what to overlook.

Courage is not the absence of fear.  Courage is doing the
right thing anyway in spite of our fear.  It is Faith in God
Almighty that gives us the courage to do what has to be done,
when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

Credentials on the wall do not
make us decent human beings.

Don't accuse unless you're able to prove.
Don't blame unless you're able to forgive.

Don't ask God to guide your footsteps
if you're not willing to move your feet.

Don't just tell God you have a big problem;
Tell your problem you have a BIG God!

Don't let your ears witness what your eye didn't see, and
don't let your mouth speak what your heart doesn't feel.

Don't pick up what God told you to put down!

Don't worry about tomorrow -
God is already there!

Do what you do for His Glory!

Even if we disarmed every single person in this country
by banning guns, knifes, box cutters, swords, sticks
and stones - every single type of weapon known to
mankind, we would still never be able to disarm evil.

Every path has a few puddles.

Exercise daily - walk with the Lord!

Faith gives us the courage
to do great things.

Faith sees the invisible,
believes the miraculous,
and obtains the impossible.

Faith in God, resulting in good works,
will result in a balanced Christian life,
as they are essentially inseparable.

Faith is being sure of what we hope for,
and certain of what we do not see.

Faith is not hoping that God can...
It's knowing that He will!

Family isn't always blood.  It's the people in your life who want you
in theirs; the ones who accept you for who you are.  It's the ones who
would do anything just to see you smile and love you no matter what!

Fight all your battles on your knees!

Follow God, Not People!

For every minute we are angry with someone, we lose
60 seconds of happiness that we can never get back.

Forgive others as quickly as you
want God to forgive you.
(Colossians 3:13)

Get over yourself and celebrate Jesus!

Give - but don't allow yourself to be used.
Love - but don't allow your heart to be abused.
Trust - but don't be naive.
Listen - but don't lose your own voice.

Give God what's right,
not what's left.

Give the devil an inch
and he'll be a ruler.

He says
yes and gives you what you want.
He says
no and gives you something better.
He said
wait and gives you the best.

God can have our money
- but not our hearts.

God can open doors for us
that no man can shut!

God doesn't always give us the people we want,
but He always gives us the ones we need.

God doesn't call the qualified.
He qualifies the called.

God gives us people to love and things to use,
not things to love and people to use.

God has a reason for allowing certain things to happen.
We just simply have to follow His Will even though
we may never be able to understand His Wisdom.

God has no telephone, but I talk to Him every day.
He has no Facebook, but He's still my best friend.
And He has no Twitter, yet I still follow Him.

GOD is the reason why...
even in pain, I smile;
in confusion, I understand;
in betrayal, I trust;
and in fear, I continue to fight.

God looks at the inside;
He searches our hearts,
judges our thoughts,
and tests our motives

God owes us nothing,
yet gives us everything!

God’s purpose in our lives is like
our skeleton is to our bodies.

God, Thank You for keeping me
together when I'm falling apart.

God wants spiritual fruit,
not religious nuts!

Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any
more than standing in a garage makes you a car.

Gratitude releases God’s super natural power
to work in our lives and change our destiny.

Happiness is enhanced by others,
but should not depend upon others.

Happiness will only come once we free our heart from
hatred, and our mind from worries.  We need to live
simply, give more and expect less.  It is faith in God
Almighty that helps us to accomplish all of the above

Having lots of friends is not a miracle.  The miracle is having
a friend who will stand by you when everyone else is against you.

Having somewhere to go is Home.
Having someone to love is Family.
Having both is a Blessing!

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall
come.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous,
boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful,
unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers,
incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors,
heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:
(2 Timothy 3:1-5)

History confirms defending of the faith.

I am an imperfect person - loved by a perfect God.

I am blessed, chosen, adopted, accepted,
redeemed and forgiven by Jesus!

I am not who I was yesterday.  I am not who I will be tomorrow.
While I am not perfect, I am better than I was yesterday, but
still less than what I will be once God is finished with me.

I am perfectly imperfect!

I am thankful for all those difficult people in my life
because they have shown me exactly who I do not want to be!

I believe that regardless of how hot and
steamy a relationship is at first, the passion
WILL fade, and then there had better
be something else to take its place!

I believe it's taking me a long time
to become the person I want to be.

I believe maturity has more to do with what types of
experiences we've had and what we've learned from them,
and less to do with how many birthdays we've celebrated.

I don't pretend to be someone I'm not,
because I'm pretty good at just being me.

I have learned that I can keep going
long after I think I can't.

I have peace today not because there are no storms in my life,
but because the Lord is my peace in the midst of life's storms.

I just want people to see Christ in me;  I don't care
if they know my name, as long as they know my God!

I like walking with Grandma - her steps are short like mine.
She doesn't say, "Now hurry up", she always takes her time.
I like walking with Grandma - she sees things like I do;
Wee pebbles bright, a funny cloud, half hidden drops of dew.
Most people have to hurry - they never stop to see.
I'm glad that God made Grandma unrushed and young like me!

I made the entire universe out of nothing.
Trust Me, I can take care of you. - God

I may not be who I ought to be - I know I'm not all that I
can be.  But I've come a long way from what I used to be and
I will never give up on becoming what God wants me to be.

I would much rather offend someone right
into Heaven, than to flatter someone into hell.

If I could give you one thing in life, I would give you
the ability to see yourself through my eyes, because only
then would you realize how very special you are to me.

If I had to choose between loving my children or breathing, I
would use my last breath to tell my children how much I love them!

If Jesus had preached the same message that the majority
of ministers preach today, He never would have been crucified!

If we are not thankful for what we have
now, why in the world would we expect
God to give us more to be ungrateful for?

If we don't go after we want, we'll never get it.
If we don't ask, the answer will always be no.  If we
don't step forward, we'll always be in the same place.

If we fill our hearts with regrets of
yesterday and the worries of tomorrow,
we will have no today to be thankful for.

If we want our children to keep their feet on the ground,
we better keep some responsibilities on their shoulders.

If we want something bad enough, we'll find a way.
If we don't, we'll find an excuse.

If you love someone, be sure to tell them, because
hearts are often broken by words left unspoken.

If you love your children equally,
you will treat them differently.

If you speak when you are angry, you could
make the best speech you will ever regret.

If you succeed in cheating someone, it doesn't mean that person
was a fool, it means that person trusted you more than you deserved.

Ignorance is not bliss; Ignorance can kill you!
"My people perish from a lack of knowledge."  Hosea 4:6

In life, we will live, love, loose, learn, miss, hurt,
trust, - we will make mistakes; but most of all,
we need to trust that God will see us through.

It may be a new day, but just
remember He's still the same God!

It's one thing when we start trusting the Lord, but it's
an entirely different matter when He can start trusting us!

It's when we have nothing left but God
that we discover He's All we ever needed!

Jesus is my Saviour - Not my religion!

Jesus is the only light that can get you out of the darkness!

Jesus first
Others second
Yourself last

Judging a person does not define who they are.
It defines who YOU are.

Just as the sinner's despair of any hope from himself
is the first prerequisite of a sound conversion;
so the loss of all confidence in himself is the
first essential in the believer's growth in grace.

Just because someone doesn't love us the
way we want them to, doesn't mean they
don't love us with all they have.

Just because two people argue,
it doesn't mean they don't love each other,
and just because they don't argue,
it doesn't mean they do.

Knowing the Bible is one thing, but
knowing the Author is quite another.

Laughter is the cheapest medicine.
(Proverbs 17:22)

Laziness or an idle heart
is the devil's workshop.

Life has knocked me down a few times.
It has shown me some things I never wanted to
see.  I've experienced sadness and failures, but one
thing's for sure; I always look up, so I can get up!

Life isn't about finding ourselves, it's about
discovering who God created us to be.

Life is the time God gives us to determine
how we want to spend eternity.

Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil...
It has no point.

Look back and thank God.
Look forward and thank God.
Look around and serve God.
Look within and find God.

Look for the right characteristics in a mate:
Forget about looks, money and social position.
Look for someone who has; (1) common beliefs,
(2) a similar upbringing (3) and common goals.
(2 Corinthians 6:14)

Love is deaf.  We can't just tell someone
that we love them, we have to show it.

Many books can inform us,
but only the Bible can transform us.

Meanness just doesn't happen overnight.

Most people don't realize that the Bible is full of
scientific and historical accuracy, and fulfilled prophecies.

Money is a lousy way of keeping score.

My little girl yesterday.
My friend today.
My daughter forever.

As long as I live, I am your parent first, your friend
second.  I will stalk you, flip out on you, lecture you,
drive you insane, be your worst nightmare, and hunt
you down like a bloodhound if I need to because I
LOVE YOU!  When you understand that, I will know
you are a finally a grown responsible adult.  You will
NEVER EVER find anyone who loves you and prays for
you more than I do, and if you don’t hate me at least
once in your lifetime, then I must not be doing my job!

Never let anyone's ignorance, hate,
drama or negativity stop you from
being the person God wants you to be.

No matter how bad my heart is broken,
the world does not stop for my grief.

No one can really kill a Christian;
They just change their address!

No one is better than anyone else, so
judge yourselves so YOU won't be judged.

Nothing you confess could make me love you less. - Jesus

Once a Mom, Always a Mom!  (So true!)
No matter how grown the kids are, they
will always be precious babies in our eyes!

One of our greatest problems is that we ask God for answers
and guidance and then we debate Him over His response.

One tree can start a forest.
One smile can begin a friendship.
One word can lift a soul.
One laugh can conquer gloom.
One hope can raise our spirits.
One touch can show we care.
One life can make a difference.

Only Jesus can turn -
a mess into a message,
a test into a testimony,
a trial into a triumph,
a victim into a victory!

Our lives can be changed in a matter of
minutes by people we don't even know.

Our philosophy in life is to be in love with all we know.
And what we've gathered in however many years
we've lived is what we have come to believe.

People don't care what you know,
but they know if you care!

Plan ahead. It wasn't raining
when Noah built the ark!

Prayer is like calling home every day!

Put God first and you will never be last!

Read the Bible!
It will scare the "hell" out of you!

Religion is man's idea
of God's expectations.

Remember, even the devil quotes scripture.
(Matthew 4:6)

Rules for Love:
1. Listen without interrupting.
(Proverbs 18)
2. Speak without accusing. (James 1:19)
3. Give without sparing. (Proverbs 21:26)
4. Pray without ceasing. (Colossians 1:9)
5. Answer without arguing. (Proverbs 17:1)
6. Share without pretending. (Ephesians 4:15)
7. Enjoy without complaint. (Philippians 2:14)
8. Trust without wavering. (Corinthians 13:7)
9. Forgive without punishing. (Colossians 3:13)
10. Promise without forgetting. (Proverbs 13:12)
11. Honor without fail. (Hebrews 13:4)

Satan says, "Look at your sin."
God says, "Look at My Son!"

Satan's greatest weapon is man's ignorance of God's Word.

Sixty percent of church attendants are women.
Forty percent and declining are men.

Some people are like waterless clouds -
promising rain but never coming through.

Some people think I take this "Jesus Thing" too seriously, but hey,
Jesus took me pretty seriously when He died for me on the cross!

Sometimes God doesn't change our situation
because He's trying to change our hearts.

Sometimes letting go is an act far greater than holding on.

Sometimes silence is the best answer.

Sometimes the most ordinary things can be made
extraordinary simply by doing them with the right people.

Sometimes the people we expect to kick us when we're
down, will be the very ones that help us get back up.

Sometimes there are no second chances,
no next time.  Sometimes it's now or never.

Sometimes we have the right to
be angry, but that doesn't give
us the right to be cruel.

Sometimes we must make the Choice to
take a Chance, or our life will never Change.

Sometimes we will be let down by the people we trust the most,
yet loved by the most unexpected ones.  Some will make us cry,
while others will ignore all our faults just to see our smile.

Strong women recognize the challenge and complete the job.
They need no credit, but give the glory to God and others.

The best sermons are lived,
not preached.

The best thing parents can do for
their children is to love each other.

The Bible is still relevant today... It's more
up-to-date than tomorrow's newspaper!

The Bible is the only Book that has the
Author present every time we read it!

The character of any man is defined by how
he treats his mother as the years pass by.

The closer we walk with God, the less room
there is for anything to come in-between!

The further this world drifts from The Truth,
the more it will hate those who speak it.

The happiest of people don't have the best of
everything - they make the most of everything.

The one thing we can give away
and still keep is our word.

The only people who get mad at you for speaking
the truth are the ones who are living a lie.

The people we care about most in life are the essence of life.
We should make sure they know how much we love them every
day because sometimes they are taken from us way too soon.

The problem with our country is not political, it's spiritual!

The reason people give up so fast is because
they look at how far they still have to go,
instead of how far they have already gone.

The things of earth will soon be past,
but all things for Christ are going to last.

The way we think all the time can become more
powerful than what we believe, and what
we think all the time becomes who we are.

There are many today who hate to even hear the word "repent"
and sadly, the day will come when no one will ask them too.

There are 3 things that God has never seen:
A person who has not sinned.
(Romans 3:23)
A sinner He does not love. (John 3:6)
And a sinner He cannot save. (Romans 10:13)

There is a role for every person we meet in life.
Some are there to test us, some are there to love
us and some are there to teach us.  Then there's
the rare amazing ones who bring out the best in us,
the ones sent to remind us why it's all worth it.

There is hope for the helpless, there's rest for the weary, there's
love for the brokenhearted. There is grace and forgiveness, mercy
and healing, He'll meet you wherever you are - just cry out to Jesus!

There is no respect of persons with God;
For He shows no partiality.
(Romans 2:11)

This is a story about four people;  Everybody, Somebody, Anybody
and Nobody.  There was an important job to be done and Everybody
was sure that Somebody would do it.  Anybody could have done it,
Nobody did it.  Somebody got angry about that because it was
Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody
realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.  It ended up that Everybody
blamed Somebody, when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Those who exist are established by God.
(Romans 13:1)

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind
is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee.
(Isaiah 26:3)

Time is still the best answer,
Forgiveness is still the best pain killer,
And God is still the best Healer.

Today I found a penny, just laying on the ground.
But it's not JUST a penny, this little coin I've found.
That's what my Grandma told me, she said Angels toss them down.
Oh, how I love that story, of them tossing pennies down.
You see, when an Angel misses you, they'll toss a penny down.
Sometimes just to cheer you up - make you smile instead of frown.
So, don't pass by that penny, when you're feeling down and blue.
Because it's a very special reminder... there's an Angel missing you!

TODAY will never pass this way again.  May we be a blessing,
a friend to someone today.  May we encourage and take the
time to really care.  Let's let our words heal and not wound.

To walk humbly with God we must act
justly and love tenderly.
(Micah 6:8)

True love cannot be found where it does not truly
exist. Nor can it be hidden where it truly does.

Truth is still Truth even if no one believes it.
A Lie is still a Lie even if everyone believes it.

Try and fail, but NEVER fail to try!

Two people can look at the exact same thing
and see something totally different.

Waiting for God is never a waste of time!

Exposure to the Son may prevent burning!

Weak people revenge.
Strong people forgive.
Intelligent people ignore.

We are free to choose, but we are not free
from the consequences of our choices.

We are not responsible for what others do to us,
but we are responsible for how we respond.

We are responsible for what we do,
no matter how we feel.

We are to spread the Gospel:
It's a command, not an option!

We can do something in a heartbeat that
will give us heartache for a lifetime!

We can let the problems of life defeat us, or
we can let the giver of life defeat our problems!

We cannot unsay a cruel word.

We can't change the past, but we can ruin
the present by worrying over the future.

We don't have to change friends, we just need
to understand that sometimes friends change.

We don't need more laws.  What we need is a fear
of God and respect for human life.  God will not
bless this country until we invite Him back in it.

We must be "born again" with the
Spirit of God to enter into Heaven.

We need to be careful who we trust and tell our problems to
because not everyone who smiles at us is our friend.

We should appreciate what we have
before it becomes what we had.

We shouldn't be so eager to find out
a secret. It could change our life forever.

We should pray the hardest when it's the hardest to pray!

We should want our children to become what God
created them to be, not what we want them to be.

We spend years wishing our parents would get off our backs, only to
one day realize they're the only ones who ever really had our backs!

We take for granted the very things we should be thankful for!

What comes out of the mouth is in the heart!

When God pushes us to the edge of difficulty, we need to
learn to trust Him fully because one of two things will happen;
He'll either catch us when we fall, or He'll teach us how to fly!

When the devil reminds you of your past,
just remind him of his future!

When things get tough, always remember...
Faith doesn't get you around trouble,
it gets you through it.

When we are not in the mood to worship God
but we do it anyway, that is a sacrifice of Praise!

When we cast our bread upon the waters,
we never know how it will be returned to us.

When we come to the end of ourselves,
we find the beginning with God.

When we pray, God hears more than we say,
answers more than we ask, and gives us more
than we imagine in His own time and in His own way.

When we think we're down to nothing,
our God is up to something!

When we truly love people,
we will tell them the Truth!

When we wallow with pigs,
we can expect to get dirty.

When we worry, we believe more in
our problems than in God's Promises!

Without God our week would be...
Sin-Day, Mourn-Day, Tears-Day
Waste-Day, Thirst-Day, Fight-Day
and Shatter-Day. Why? Because 7
days without God makes one weak!

Words that soak into your ears
are whispered, not yelled.

Why do we close our eyes when we pray, kiss, cry and dream?  Because
the most beautiful things in life are not seen, but felt with the heart.
